We bought Angel from Jim & Jan Head 5yrs ago. He passed her on to us because she refused to give her doeling up. Jim told us she would be great for our breeding program since she is an excellent mother
and we dam raise our Nubian kids.
Angel is the daughter of +*B SG Linn Farm's Ivy League Magi, Elite Sire. He has made the elite list from 2022 to 2024. He is the half brother +*B SG Linn Farms Magi's Maxim, Mutiple Elite Sire . Ivy League is the full brother of *B SG Elite Sire Linn Farms Leap of Faith. Ivy's League's grandma on his sire's side is the amazing Top Ten & Elite Doe Six M Galaxy Nova's Sonia Noel, 10*M, LA 91 EEEV.Her dam is Veteran's Blue Angel, LA 88VEEV. Blue Angel is the daughter of Elite Sire Veteran's Catatumbo Lightning, LA 90 VEE. Blue Angel's mother is C&W Molly's Holy Moly. Angel's Aunt is Elite doe Veteran's Holy Max Nova Star. Angel's great grandmother on her dam's side is Top Ten & Elite Doe Crow's Dairy Blue Sparkles, LA 86 VVE+.
Angel has generations of relatives on performance programs. She mainly has excellent Six M Galaxy lines. She has many well accomplished Nubians in her lineage. She has Linn Farms, C&W Farms, Crow's Dairy, Black Mesa and Six M Galaxy herd lines. She has the perfect teats to hand milk, nice orfices & nice capacity. She has consistently milked 6-8 lbs when milked once a day and milking longevity of 10 months. Angel's dam peaked at 12.5 lbs, STD 2310. The first time we milked Angel, we were amazed of how well she milked and how nice she was to milk. Her daughter Angelita has freshened once and she has a beautiful udder and is very milky. Angel and Angelita are very confident and are two of our herd queens.
In the past, she has been bred to Veteran's Second Chance, Goldthwaite Apollo, Headway Santiago Noel, Crow's Dairy Owen and Veteran's Christmas Comet. She has blessed us with 8 offspring the past 5 years. She gave her a break this breeding season. She has had 3 does and 5 bucks. We own 6 of her offspring and rehomed two of her bucks to breeders outside of New Mexico. We hope to put Angel on milk test and she will eventually retire in our herd. From here on we will breed her with our Headway, Veteran's & Black Mesa Ranch foundation herd sires. We do want to increase milk production in her offspring and we own several bucks who will probably do this.
